what's going on?!?!?

Woke up 5am Tuesday throwing up but went to school anyway because I wanted to take off Monday for my birthday. My aide told me I didn't look good and after getting sick again I went home to sleep for the rest of the day. My sister called me around 4:00 to ask for a ride because my mom, brother, and grandmother were all at home throwing up all day. Was it something we ate? And if it was why didnt my sister, boyfriend, or aunt get sick also.. The plot thickened. My mom called a friend to find out how her father was doing and found out that everyone in her house had been throwing up all day. What do we all have in common? We all attended our Jr. Football League dinner on Sunday. So we assumed we all had food poisoning. But how could we when we all got sick Monday/Tuesday and the dinner was Sunday? Doesn't food poisoning happen pretty quickly? So we investigated more and found out that there were many people who were at the dinner that have been sick. So we called the place and they said others have called to say they were sick... What have we found out that we all have in common, we all ate the vegetables from the dinner.. Could it be ecoli?? Or, is it some virus that someone at the dinner was carrying and spread?? We are still waiting to hear from my grandmother's doctor what he thinks..I stayed home today in case it is some virus. I do not want to spread it througout my building, especially since they will all blame me..
I guess since I just took two days off, I cant take off Monday like I was planning to.. oh well

first post

My hopes for this class is that I do not make a total fool of myself. I had thought of myself as pretty good at technology. Then I sat in class on Saturday and really felt dumb. I guess I am not as good as I thought I am. Which I am totally ok with. I am really excited with this class and hope to find new and creative ways to intergrate technology into my classes which can sometimes be a hard thing. I teach in a brand new school that only has 1 computer lab and 22 classes that have to meet once a week. Which means there really isnt alot of wiggle room to find lab time...
I took this class as an elective for my masters program in reading. I really didnt know alot about it but that my advisor told me to take it and it was open when I scheduled.. but after attending class on Saturday. I'm really glad i did :0)

I love my job.............

I really love my job I swear... except for...
1. bratty children who expect me to do everything for them.
- I am not their mother nor their father and will therefore NOT chase after them for their work. I will remind them what they own, even write them a pass to come in at lunch to make up the work. but I will NOT go out onto the playground to hunt them down when they "forget" to come in for the THIRD day in a row!!(even though I gave them a pass AS THEY ARE WALKING DOWN TO LUNCH) and when this happens they WILL receive a zero even if....
2. Their sorry ass parents who think their children are all cute little saint geniuses write me a note explaining to me how forgetful little so and so is... or how mom was away on business and wasnt able to sit with them and do the work "with" them...
or how so and so worked soooooooooooooo hard on the project on their own and they are both soooo upset about the 87 or 92 they received on the project....and would like to meet wtih me so that I can explain to them why I gave them that grade even though it is clearly is explained on the rubric WHAT THEY EARNED..uggggggggggggg
